Week 19 - Searching for Meaning

Something is stirring amongst the student generation.
They are waking up to Jesus
Stepping into churches not because they were invited,
But because they were drawn.

Josh is one of them…

One evening in Chichester, Josh arrived late to a student gathering he hadn’t been invited to. Sam, the Student Pastor, noticed him. Surprised, curious, unsure why this young man had come, he began talking to Josh, who proceeded to share his story.

Months earlier, Josh explained he felt an urge to wear a cross as a fashion statement. Yet before buying one, Josh hesitated. He wondered if he decided to wear a cross without understanding it, it might cause offence to Christians. So instead of purchasing a necklace, he went searching for meaning.

In his research, Josh read about a man named Jesus—His life, His death, His resurrection. What began as curiosity became a stirring, and that stirring led him to purchasing a Bible for himself.
Through reading the words of Christ, Josh found more than information—he received an invitation. And in that quiet encounter, he chose to follow Jesus.

That journey, and a longing to grow alongside others, was what led Josh to building ONE-O-FOUR that evening. Since then, Josh has continued to attend church and gathers every week with a group of friends to pray.
